This document outlines a sustainable and scalable model for hosting a content cache at an IXP. It can be modified and used to solicit bids for the provision of IP transit bandwidth capacity to the the cache, which the selected provider will then resell to other networks via the IXP on a cost-recovery basis.

Note: Anyone who wishes to use this template should modify all fields highlighted in YELLOW.

This document template originates from the Rwanda Internet Exchange (RINEX) and Uganda Internet eXchange Point (UIXP). We hope it serves as a useful reference for IXPs and content networks who are looking for a sustainable way to deploy caches at IXPs in Africa.
