Since our meeting in Casablanca, Morocco, we've been working hard to formalize the association and improve its presence. To that end, we've recently upgraded our website in an effort to better support our community and interested outside parties. It's currently somewhat basic but includes important events, news, and an up-to-date map index of African IXPs.
In the future, we hope to incorporate a "resources" section filled with statistics, presentations, templates, tutorials, and other data relevant to Internet exchange points. We also hope to expand our IXP index to include more detailed information about exchange points in the region. We are, of course, open to suggestions about other ways which this site could be used to support the IXP community in Africa, so feel free to contact us if you have any ideas.
